Candy has a background in Human Resources with extensive experience in employee relations, benefits, payroll, recruiting, onboarding, I-9 and E-Verify processing, compliance, re-verification, and internal auditing.
Born in the United States to Immigrants; Candy is Passionate about Immigrants' Rights because she recognizes their journeys in the journey her mother took to the US from Mexico and her father from Colombia.
Candy has worked with and volunteered with a number of non-profit organizations such as Catholic Charities of NE Kansas helping refugees resettle to the United States and find employment. She has also volunteered with Hand and Hand Immigration Services, a non-profit in Wenatchee where her mother serves as the Director of the Organization that helps Immigrants secure Naturalization/Citizenship.
As a Paralegal at Orbit Law, Candy is our lead Paralegal for all I-9 and E-Verify compliance audits on behalf of our Corporate clients. She also helps clients secure a variety of Immigrant and Non-Immigrant visas and "Lawful Permanent Residence" via a family member, I-601-A waivers, U-Visa, DACA and Citizenship/Naturalization.
